8/12/20#16 Erich Prokosch - OF Essig Bluejays Erich got hot for Essig over the past week. He went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs batted in to finish the regular season against Fairfax. Then in the 13-inning tournament opener he went 3-for-7, scoring three times, knocking in four, and blasting a home run. Prokosch then had an even bigger day against Leavenworth on Sunday, going 4-for-5, with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored. |
8/5/20#33 Josh Altermatt - C/OF Lamberton Long Sox Josh played in five games for the Long Sox during a busy week. He went 8-for-18 at the plate and scored 6 runs. On Sunday, in their regular season finale against Leavenworth, Josh played all 9 positions in the game which was shortened to 7 innings due to the ten-run rule. |
8/5/20#24 Holden Salfer - OF Lamberton Long Sox Holden batted .500 on the week, going 9-for-18. He averaged more than one run scored and more than one driven in with six of each during the Long Sox five games. |
7/29/20#22 Branden Flock - OF Springfield Tigers Branden was on fire this week for the Tigers. Wednesday, 7/22 against Sleepy Eye he went 5-for-6, scoring three runs, and knocking in four with a grand slam off the scoreboard in Springfield. Anything is a let down after that, but Flock put up another big night on Sunday against Essig, going 3-for-5, scoring three times and blasting a solo homer. |
7/22/20#33 Mitch Bockenstedt - P New Ulm Brewers Mitch was nearly unhittable on the mound for the Brewers. He picked up wins over Leavenworth and Essig, working 11 shutout innings, fanning 22, and allowing just 3 hits. |
7/15/20#6 Colby Pack - 1B/3B Lamberton Long Sox On Tuesday 7/7, Colby was 1-for-4 against Stark with a clutch game tying double in the 8th. The following night he went 2-for-4 against Jackson with a pair of doubles. He finished the week by going 2-for-4 on Saturday 7/11 in Gibbon, including a solo home run. |
7/15/20#9 Nick Altermatt - P/IF Lamberton Long Sox This week Nick averaged two strikeouts for each inning he pitched! On Tuesday 7/7 against Stark, Nick worked three innings, striking out six. In Gibbon on Saturday 7/11, he logged five innings pitched, while striking out ten. Not only did he have a good week on the mound, but he also scored at least one run in all of the Long Sox four games during the week. |
7/15/20#5 Brandon Wilhelmi - P/IF Springfield Tigers Brandon was key to all three of the Tigers' wins during the week. He worked the final five innings, allowing just one unearned run, to earn the win against New Ulm on Tuesday 7/7. Brandon was back on the bump on Friday night working three scoreless innings to notch another W in Springfield's come from behind win over Hanska. He stepped up big again on Sunday afternoon in Gibbon. When the Reds battled back to within three, he slammed the door with a scoreless inning and two-thirds save. Wilhelmi also helped the cause at the plate with a solo homer. |
7/8/20#4 Judd Davis - DH New Ulm Brewers Judd went 2-for-4 with a stolen base against Sleepy Eye. Then he went 4-for-4 with a double and two stolen bases against Hanska. |
